Prices and gift economy

I feel that one way to change the world is to change our relation to money, and to think about the way money affects our relations.

Money should only be a convenient tool that enables us to exchange goods and services. If you come to a session with me, I would really like to be able to offer it to you for free ! But I need to provide to my needs and those of my family. Therefore it is fair that you help me contribute to those needs so that I can go on offering you my services. So I would like people and organization not to « pay » for my services, but to enable me to give them to you and to others.

We can feel so grateful to all these anonymous people, plants and animals, who contribute to our daily life : those who built our house, grew our vegetable, designed our furniture, drove the trains that carried our mail, collected the bins, dug the mines for the minerals in our computers and mobile phones... It is endless and mind blowing if you start thinking about it, and it covers the whole planet.

Thinking how we spend our money can bring more awareness to thoses around us.

Rudolf Steiner developed this theme in many of his lectures and books, and many people have researched this since.

I would like to empower each person to decide how much they can contribute, so that it is fair for me and for them. I am aware that this can feel unconfortable, so I also suggest £85 per term. But people can contribute more if they can, or less.

Please note, my weekly session in Peredur Eurythmy is part of the eurythmy training, and as such there is a fixed price of £8 per session. Do speak to me if this is an issue for you.
